MOBILE NETWORK & WIRELESS TECHNOLOGIES
The building will have reliable mobile network coverage, provided by three mobile network operators or more (network signal repeaters optional).
Fibre-optics cable pre-installed by the owner ensures a smooth installation process to provide maximum broadband speed all the way to a given rental unit.
USER EXPERIENCE
Using secure, open WiFi coverage for occupants and guests, the building will provide a seamless digital user experience from the lobby and general lounge/waiting areas to the rental units.
FUTURE-PROOF DESIGN
The building boasts the flexibility and capacity it needs so as to take advantage of emerging technologies and applications. Capacities for service connections and ducts for efficient cabling will be pre-installed.
INFRASTRUCTURE & FAIL SAFETY
An exclusive room for the telecommunications equipment, secured by electrical access control, increases data security and reliability for the tenants. Diversified utilities service entrances on several sides of the building and observance of relevant safe distances enhance the fail safety. The building will feature installation areas for additional equipment in secured telecommunications rooms. The density packs are generously dimensioned to accommodate additional future installations and permit easy cable laying. Diversified riser ducts/shafts and a stand-by generating plant to keep the telecommunication equipment supplied with electricity in the event of a power outage.
DOCUMENTATION & AVAILABILITY
It is planned to bring in another three broadband network operators to serve the building, so that tenants may choose among these as needed. Standardised contract templates are available to facilitate the coordination process with additional telecommunications providers. Information about internet service providers (ISPs) operating near the building is transparently disclosed.
Smart Office Features
The smart building automation of PORT ONE BERLIN ensures a resource-conserving and simultaneously need- based use of energy. That being side, the system is always subject to human control.
PRESENCE: Heating and cooling will be provided depending on the actual use of a given office (presence detector), the advantage being: unnecessary use of air conditioning is avoided and energy saved thereby
SOLAR SHADING: user-independent/passive via smart interface with the building automation and meteorological stations (but may be manually controlled as well)
