PORT ONE - Architektur

Striking Stand-Alone Building with
a Panoramic View of Berlin

“Resting on a robust foundation, PORT ONE BERLIN will rise to a height of 55 metres. The tower will offer a breath- taking panoramic viewacross Berlin in every direction. The architecture was specifically designed to provide such a spectacular outlook.

The building keeps getting slimmer as it ascends from the massive ground floor with its cut-stone finish. On the upper floors, façades are essentially reduced to large-scale glazing that lets you view the sheer expanse of your urban surroundings – structured by narrow horizontal bands of cut stone. To accentuate the solid nature of the ground floor, large arches define the design of the ground floor façades, formally connecting to the viaduct arches of the rapid transit system you keep encountering in Berlin’s inner city. Combined with the rounded corners seen all around the building complex, the arches make PORT ONE BERLIN a spectacular and simultaneously plausible eye-catcher.”
